Where's Waldo?
I mean the Monkey Mobile! For those of you who are interested in getting a free 1-hour shoot* this is the blog post for you!
As you know from previous blogs, Nathan has a back window graphic on his car for Monkey Suit Photography. This is now the Monkey Mobile. So what do you have to do? Just take a picture of us out and about and tag us on Facebook in it. And by us I mean Monkey Suit Photography. Every month we will put together the names of those who tagged a photo of the Monkey Mobile and draw a winner out of a hat. And will announce monthly winners on Facebook.
Rules:
1. You must be a fan of us on Facebook to qualify.
2. Pictures of the vehicle in front of our house or while in the Humble Outback parking lot do not count. (that's just too easy lol)
3. No more than one submission per person BUT you can have your spouse, family, or friend win you one; or win one for one of your family members)
4. The picture must be posted the day it is taken.
5. The same picture can not be posted twice or more.
6. Must be at least 5 contestants for the month for drawing to be held.
*Travel fees may apply if outside of Kingwood, Humble or Atascocita area. Prints are not included but a digital disc with print release is.

Holidays and Specials
So I know it's late but Happy Holiday everyone! Boy was it a busy December this past year! I'm glad that it's over and 2012 is now here. Soon I'll be posting another blog about some family portraits I did for the Shrader Family. ALSO- I have shadowed at two weddings since I last posted. One of them was actually on New Year's Eve! I'll be writing blogs about those experiences as well.

Sobecky/Davis Family 12.11.11
The Sobeckys are basically my second family.. Emily (lovely lady from the last shoot I posted of her and her husband) and I have been friends since middle school and lived down the street from each other throughout high school. I find myself still going over to their house and chatting up til late hours of the night. I arrived early to scope out the area and see how the lighting was. As soon as I got out of the car and started digging around in my trunk I noticed a duck a little ways off. Ok not a big deal... I get everything situated in my pockets and camera around my neck and this duck is heading straight to me! Sudden images of a duck attacking me briefly came to mind until I came to my senses and realized the duck is probably used to people feeding it. Close call though ;) Enough about that; onto the pictures!
We got the whole family and made sure to get ones of the couples on their own. They were such a fun bunch to photograph, goofing around when they got the chance and shoo-ing ducks out of the background. They were even climbing trees! LOL!

Josh and Emily Davis 11.27.11
Emily is one of my closest friends and I was really looking forward to taking pictures of her and her husband. When the day came around for the shoot, it was a beautiful bright day with hardly any clouds. I began to worry how long we'd be able to survive it though. It was a very..I mean VERY cold day that day! I was wrapped up in hoodie, scarf, beanie and hand warmers while this lovely couple tried their hardest not to shake from shivering during the shoot. The day wouldn't have felt so cold if it wasn't for the wind. And boy was it windy! Our hour shoot turned into a mini session because of the frigid air, but we still captured so great shots!
They were troopers! And still had fun through the whole time. I'm looking forward to capturing more of their special moments down the road. :) Check out the rest of their photos here.

Vanessa and Eric 11.13.11
I was really excited and a little nervous shooting the Eric and Vanessa Porter wedding. I have known Vanessa for five years now and was with her when she met Eric for the first time, so it was a very significant wedding for me to have the honor of photographing.
She was such a beautiful bride! Her awesome makeup was done by Alicia. I was with her throughout the day of getting ready that morning with hair and makeup, the nice intimate ceremony and the dancing filled reception that evening. What was also really cool was that all the cute decorations of the event were created by the bride herself! It really added a personalized and custom look. We got some really fantastic shots and I even had trouble picking out my favorites for this collage. :) We hope that you enjoy the photos as much as we do!
